            "Growing your Christmas Experience"

How to care for your cut Christmas tree
  • Make sure it has a fresh cut right before its placed in the tree stand with water. We will provide a fresh cut before it leaves the farm. However, if it takes more than an hour to get it home and in the stand, we recommend another fresh cut.
  • Use a stand that holds at least a gallon of water.
  • Check water often and keep the stand full. Your tree can drink up to a gallon of water the first 24 hours.
  • NEVER allow the water level to drop below the cut stump of the tree.
  • We recommend using plain ole tap water. No additives are necessary.
  • Place the tree away from heat sources like vents, fireplaces, wood stoves, radiators and sunny windows.
  • Check your lights and cords for broken bulbs and frayed wires
  • Turn off the lights before leaving home or going to bed.
  • With proper care, your tree can easily last six weeks or more safely.
  • Please recycle the tree after Christmas!

Leyland Cypress

Our most popular variety grown here at the farm.
  • Beautiful deep green foliage.
  • Long lasting when kept in water after cutting.
  • Leylands can last up to two months with virtually no needle loss.
  • They drink a lot of water, so pay attention to the bowl.
  • Perfect for folks with allergies. Not aromatic.
  • Heavy ornaments could be too much for its lighter branches.
Green Giant Arborvitae

Another fan favorite due to its color and needle retention
  • Excellent needle retention when kept in water.
  • Lighter color needles than Leylands.
  • Slightly aromatic.
  • Light to medium strength branches.
  • Beautiful when decorated with lots of lights and ornaments.
Carolina Sapphire Cypress

Looking for something unique and different? The Carolina Sapphire could be your new tradition!
  • Very nice citrus aroma that will make your whole house smell festive!
  • It has the appearance of a cedar tree but soft to the touch.
  • Sapphires generally have a smaller trunk with lots more foliage than many others, so maintaining its water is crucial to good needle retention.
  • Give it a fresh cut immediately before putting it in water to maximize its life.
